Hello my friends.

I want to make a summary of my experience general.

I have performed xlinking as the most of you and combined with a limited topography guided PRK.I havent found a single person here on this forum that has performed the same treatment as me.And thats is very sad because i believe that certainly some of us are candidate for this treatment.I am writing from my heart and the only thing i want is to help people like us.I have
7/10 vision from my left eye and 9/10 vision from my right eye.I dont wear contact lenses, glasses or something else.Just my eyes. And i want more people to have that. That is in my opinion a winning for kc.

I am a little frustrated because i read some posts of a member here and she doesnt have the knoweldge and she is jumping to conclusions very easy.If you dont understand about something how can you be understood by others?

Its nice to express yourself but dont say your opinion about the things you dont know anything.

I visited the collagen cross linking congress webpage and i was amazed when i found that for the first time in the congress it will be a lecture with scientific data about collagen cross linking and laser surgery. The scientist who will present it is my doctor. All i can say is that i am very proud of him and i think that after this congress, PRK-XLINKING will be a routine for kc.

I think that technology for eyes will developed more and in the near future kc will be an overpast disease.

All the best,

Harris, Its ever more special that your are one of the few "heros" left in this world. Who would have thought the opposite is true now that crosslinking is here and PRK is available to be done on a KC cornea. Who would have thought that a snakes own poison can be used as the antidote if someone gets bitten by a poisonious snake?

Of course like with everything there are guidlines to be met for treatment, but those lucky can have it... instead of more invasive corneal tissue removal in the form of a transplant which is being widely done EVERY WHERE ... and is an "over kill" in certain circumstances.

On another note I was told Patients could not attend the Congress (maybe we can "gate-crash"smile.gif), but we do have delegates there to lets us know of this grand event taking place ...as if we was there!

Yes Cloudd:

1) He could have forgotten his KC now... if that's the case that's great news

2) Is just to busy with other stuff

3) Sulking about something

4) Have a chip on his shoulder (I'm taking wild guess now)

5) none of the above

There is a sharing and caring unspoken universal rule amoung patients when you become a patient, and even if your vision is good now Cloudd... you never know when you may need to rely on another patient's advice, knowledge and information.

Hello Kreading

Cloudd and i have performed the same treatment.Topography guided PRK and Crosslinking. Its very important, because both of us had excellent results, to speak out loudly and tell the world about this innovative treatment which CAN CHANGE PEOPLE LIVES.

I came in this forum describing my experience not only to express myself but in order other people to know this important treatment so by coming here to solve for good their problem.Cloudd understood what i was talking about Doctor Kanellopoulos and how different is among the doctors. When i was saying he is a leader to Kc i had absolutely right...And now Cloudd i am very positive he has perfect vision, meaning that from his thickness of his cornea he was the best candidate for it.

Imagine that i had 448microns in my right and 476microns in my left eye.And Cloudd from his topos which has on a webpage on the internet had above 500 microns. So,he is sure at 20/20vision without glasses or contacts. That is amazing for a keratoconic patient and people should hear Cloudd telling more and inspire others to see better despite having the stupid disease of Kc.

For me Kc is a stupid and unfair disease.By the treatment we have performed we almost have escaped Kc coz we are giving a better shape to the cornea and then we are freezing it with the crosslinking.I dont want to talk all the time about my treatment.I feel like Cloudd maybe he has to say more about it.yawn.gif

All the best,

God Bless Harrys and thanks again for the friendship that you have given us kindly

I will speak more about my treatment other than daily results after it stablizes more. I am trying to get caught up on work and SHHIT loads of paper work regarding this since I had to tavel to the other side of the world. It was not an easy task but HAD to be done. I just picked up and left everything to do this. After all it is your eyes you only have 2.

Hello Cloudd

Its good to be back. You havent post for sometime and i was worried.Anyhow,i think that your vision will be stabilized at a high degree in approximately two weeks from now.More or less 60 days, and you will see that with time dropping by, your vision will be sharper and with less aberrations.Meaning that you will have 50% less aberrations, especially at night, than you are having at the moment.

Speaking from my experience,AT DAYTIME i have very crystal and sharp vision. When the night comes certainly you realize that in dark places isnt like daytime. But you are able to see pretty much anything than a normal vision person can. When, then you are at bright places for example i was to the Mall with a lot of lights etc i was seeing perfect. And the funny thing here is that you realize when you have this sharpness and when not.The more light you have the sharper vision you have, because we have performed a limited topography guided PRK.Not fully reshaped our cornea.

I imagine someone who has done completely laser eye surgery(WITH CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY) with Lasik or PRK how sharp the vision is.Because me and Cloudd with only 50 microns ablation we get a taste how perfect vision is.

All the best,

P.S Come to the forum and tells us more when you have the chance.People should know and benefit from this innovative treatment.smile.gif
