Dr.K told me I will have 20/20 without glasses. My right eye(the worse eye)was still 500 microns, and the left eye was 528 microns. Dr.K told me I would still have slight ghosting in the right eye. But barely any. I will try and post my topogrophies frrom dr.K. My topogrophies from before thr op are also posted in this section of forum right under this post as insane fast progression. Thank you for all the replies.

Now day 13, vision still the same, but slowly clearing I believe. I still have a way more dominant image on the bottom of all objects. Have light ghosting to the top, and to the left. The bottom image is as clear as the original, and drops much lower than the other ghosting.

Was at my family doctor today, could read a couple of letters on the 20/50 line. Could only see the big E with the right eye.

Thanks for posting your Pentacam Scans Dominic,

For anyone wanting to see the Topos up close, Right Click on your mouse over the Topo scan attachment and then from your browser select View to then zoom in.

Dominic, all the best at this time, the early stages are difficult when you can "see" the recovery going on literally and are reminded of it everytime you look ! did your Dr say your Epithelium is healed now when you saw him ? I hope you see improvements sooner than its expected.

day 15---
attempted driving my car today. No problem during the day, but still do not trust my eyes enough to drive far. still have blurr in the right eye and huge halos, and starburst type image around lights.

Have a post op appointment with a surgeon here in toronto on monday. After researching on the net and speaking with cloudd, I found out the streroid drops I am using can increase eye pressure, and you should be monitored while taking them(Dr.k's clinic did not mention any of this to me). Also lubricating drops for the eyes should be non preservative, which I was also not told.

Will post on monday and let you know how the follow up examination went. The left eye is definetly coming along, which means the right must be also. Hopefully I will be able to see well enough tomorrow to watch the Anderson Silva fight.hahahahhahah

wellllllllllll....day 16. Today a surgeon in toronto made me realize why I made the right choice by going to Greece. I had an appointmet on monday with a surgeon for a post op follow up. I had a consultation with this surgeon before going to greece to have crosslinking done with him. During the consultation I found out I would have been his first patient for crosslinking. He had done about 100 intact procrdures, but crosslinking was his first because it has just been o.k'd by canada for clinical testing.

I decided to go with the much more experienced surgeon. Of coUrSe!!

anyways, got a phone call today in regards to my appointment directly from the surgeon. "hello Dominic, I suggest if you want a follow up for your eyes, you should get back on a plane and head to greece"......I could not believe it.

The only obvious reason for this surgeon to be in this field was for greed. This is the way I felt dealing with most of the professionals I had spoke with in Canada. So sad. I am not speaking for all doctors in canada, but just about experiences I have had.

So I have made another appointment with an optometrist just to check my eye pressure due to the drops, till I can see my opthamologist on Nov.5.

Vision is still quite blurry in right eye, but I think there is slight improvment.Probably still 20/200. Lots of ghosting, almost like every object has an ora around it. Left eye is quite clear, guessing about 20/50 still. will, have my eyes checked monday, and will post again.

May I ask what your exp. with the Bochner Clinic was and who you saw there? I has crosslinking done the end of August with Dr. Stein and was wondering what it was that made you decide to go to Europe.

All the best in your recovery.

Also can anyone explain what PRK is exactly? Does it give you your vision back?

I have some haze since my crosslinking and severe dry eyes but nothing really affecting my vision compared to my pre crosslinking and am wondering if this is a bad sign it did not work. How soon can you tell if the crosslinking has worked?

This forum has been very helpful. Thank you to all who has posted their story.
