Archie, what does the clinic say the reasons might be  and then take it from there ? I was reading on another post of yours that they are trying (or going to) do steam cell injections, have you any info on that at all ?

Hi Archie, thanks for the much awaited for update, I am happy that things are going in the right direction, the general trend will be in your favour, helped with the most important factor which is by selecting well after looking at the options as fully as possible at any given moment. There are many ways that a patient can choose to go, it just depends on personal preferences and corneal readings etc, no two patients are alike, and if the Dr advocates this in a major way, they are then, half way there already !

Keep us posted !

Hello Archie,
I had my Mini Ark operation back in November of 2004. At the time I was amazed at the level of hostility that was directed at Prof. Lombardi and even myself for having this procedure. I was told that I was throwing my eyesight away and that only time would prove how bad my decision truely was. Well here I am in 2010 and I have to say that I will forever be in debt to Prof Lombardi for giving me back what Keratoconus had so quickly taken away. I'm now 41 years old and have just had to renew my drivers licence... the examiner told me that my eyesight was perfect (no glasses, no contacts). I dont wear any kind of eyesight correction and have almost totally forgotten that I even had keratoconus. I wish you all the best with your continued recovery.
