Thats a brilliant poll Geraldine to post... it will take some time for a pattern to emerge as people vote....

I could not tolerate RPG's - host graft sensitivity , piggy backs causing fitment problems.

Was happy with glasses for 8 years post KP. Past 2 years vision deterioration in left eye beyond correction of glasses. Contemplating use of Boston Scleral Lenses.

Fortunately 6/6 in right eye with -6 cyl.

KC patients post KP are Contraindication for Lasik procedure.

However I've met a Lasik surgeon down South India whose done Wavefront (advanced) Lasik on post KP - KC patients & had good results.

He says the results are with .5 probability - 50% chance of sucess or failure

I think from what I have read that kc means there is no way round needing visual correction whatsoever...I suppose at least it doesn't cause blindness

lasik gives 20/20 to most non kcers but i think even kcers post kp don't get 20/20 with lasik and may even need rgps and to take a 40-50 % chance of makign things worse would seem risky unless individual circumstances are such that there is no alternative post kp but lasik or another kp

Is there a way to see the results of a poll without voting. (I haven't had grafts, yet.) I'm sure there's a button, I just can't find it...

Check "other" and vote, you will see the results.
