Its the least invasive way to go, and IF its needed you can still opt for epi off, if ever its needed. Its your totally what your pefferance is after your reseach (as long as you have done the research its totally up to you!).
Everyone with KC really needs to be checked 6 to 12 months at least, to check for changes what ever the treatment is or where the case may be that no treatment is required...these cases still needed to be checked every 6 months to a year or more as needed.
Keep to the appointments and the directions from your medical team, and you will be fine.
My best to you,
Deb

Tomorrow my young adult son gets epi-on crosslinking in one eye. I've done a lot of research, so has he. We all feel this is the right decision. Nevertheless, I am extremely nervous.
Any procedure would make me a bit apprehensive. ( Hey, I'm the worrying type). Here in the USA, a clinical trial, with no published results, is the best treatment available. All the available evidence, though, is very encouraging. So we are going forward.
If anyone has anything encouraging to say, please reply. Otherwise, I will let you know how it goes.
