My name is Diana and I work as a Clinical Assistant. I moved to Sweden 4 years ago and it is at Specsavers I got my first job in this nice country.
If I had known what I work with today a few years ago, I would never have believed it.
I was born with impaired vision and various eye diseases such as keratoconus, cataracts and glaucoma that unfortunately affect my vision even with correction. I am often asked how I look without my stable lenses and it is always difficult to explain. Today I actually found the best answer to the question. I filmed the blackboard and the machine in the eye examination room with and without a lens that you put in the test frame. Pretty cool, right? Now you can see how you see with my visual impairment which is about -16 in the sphere.
Today as a clinical assistant, I can really help people see better.
Thanks to my visual impairment, I have experience that helps to gain a deeper understanding of my patients' needs.
My defect is my superpower!
